Themed Packages
We have a number of standalone themed packages available. These can be installed on individual machines or a school network. The learning objects can also be imported into a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Each package contains Flash movies from ClickScience together with worksheets, assessments and extensive teaching notes. Click on a package to open it's flyer and find out more. DIGESTION

• Explain how food is digested in the body and the role of each part of the digestive system. • Model parts of the digestive system to build understanding. • Discover the role of enzymes in digesting food. • Investigate the properties of enzymes and factors affecting their properties. |
ENERGY AND ENERGY TRANSFER
• Review what energy is and the different types of energy. • Learn about the laws of energy transfer and conservation. • Explain the different types of thermal energy transfer and where they are likely to occur. • Consider how thermal energy transfer can be reduced from homes and the importance of doing this. |
EVOLUTION AND NATURAL SELECTION
• Learn about the scientific theory of evolution but appreciate that alternative theories exist. • Start to consider the evidence scientists put forward to support the theory of evolution. • Appreciate that several scientists suggested ideas to explain changes in organisms over time but it was Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection that came to be adopted as the best model. • Consider how environmental pressures might affect survival. Discuss the validity of using simulations in Science. |
FORMULAE AND EQUATIONS
• Gain confidence in representing elements and compounds as formulae. • Describe reactions by writing both word and symbol equations. • Predict reaction products. • Consider some of the applications of chemical equations. |
LIMESTONE
• Find out what limestone is, what it is made of and how it forms. • Consider the environmental effects of quarrying limestone. • Understand the importance of limestone as a raw material. • Explain how limestone can affect soil pH and the conditions preferred by some plants. • Learn about the reactions of limestone. |
PRODUCING ELECTRICITY
• Investigate how a current can be induced in a wire. • Explore the magnetic force of a current. • Develop an understanding of how generators and motors work through practical investigation. • Consider the applications of generators and motors. |
TYPES OF CHEMICAL REACTION
• State whether a reaction is physical or chemical. • Describe the nature of a range of chemical reactions. • Predict the products of a range of chemical reactions. • Experimentally experience a range of chemical reactions. |
